Independent Researcher
About
Lars Lima is an independent researcher working at the intersection of philosophy of mind, consciousness studies, and cognitive science, without institutional constraints on where an argument is allowed to lead.
He spent fourteen years as a domain name broker before serving as VP of Business Development at Desktop.com. He holds an MSc from Copenhagen Business School. Around the age of 42, he made a deliberate intellectual turn, working through the history of philosophy of mind and arriving at the decomposition problem as the question that existing frameworks had failed to resolve. The Dissociative Field Framework is his attempt to address it.
Research
A theoretical account of consciousness proposing that the human subject is a nested hierarchy of dissociated alters, from the cellular level through to the organism-level narrative self, each participating in a universal field of consciousness at its own scale.
The framework offers a fractal resolution to the decomposition problem, drawing on Bernardo Kastrup's analytic idealism and integrating research from predictive processing, bio-electric field biology, and split-brain neuropsychology. Developed in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic).
